Robert was born into building homes. His passion came from his father who was a builder and taught Robert everything he knows. He completed his apprenticeship with his father, and even though his father has retired he is still passionate about the industry and helps Robert out in his own business.
RKM Building and Construction came to life over 4 years ago, as Robert wanted to give more back to the industry, by providing clients with a more empathetic and compassionate approach to building. This refreshing approach has built a reputation for the team as a builder that provides high end craftmanship combined with a holistic perspective that reflects in their finished projects.
Over the 16 years that Robert has been a builder he has created a process that is nurturing and patient, so he can delve into each client’s needs from their home. The processes that he has created allows him to offer clear and transparent communication throughout each project, which results in completion on time and with the workmanship that his clients expect.
When the RKM Building and Construction team work on your home, they have the capacity and experience to offer their skills across all trades needed to complete your project, from tiling, plastering and all carpentry, with Robert project managing on site for the entire project.

1. Are you a Registered Builder and are you insured?

3. What happens if we want to change or upgrade any line items after we sign the contracts?
It will be a variation to the contract and will attract an extra payment and may need amendments to plans and engineering if need be.
4. What is included in my contract?
Everything that is in the quote will be highlighted in the contract documents.
5. Are you trade certified and affiliated to a recognised industry body such as HIA/MBA?
Yes. We are a HIA member and registered with the Victorian Building Authority.
